Hi there—we’re Phil and Caitlin, the proud owners of Fine Grit Woodworking. As an active duty Coast Guard family currently stationed in the beautiful state of Iowa, we’ve spent the past seven years growing our craft and building a business rooted in pride, precision, and purpose.

Fine Grit specializes in custom wood-carved and engraved pieces, including handmade recognition paddles, retirement shadowboxes, coin racks, and our signature “Home Is Where” signs.

 

While many of our designs are inspired by Coast Guard traditions, we proudly serve all branches of the military. Whether you're searching for a meaningful gift for a loved one or your unit is looking to refresh its recognition offerings, we’re honored to be your go-to source.
